Tri-Cities Garden Club annual Garden Crawl, a tour of members’ gardens, was enjoyed by about 30 club members. The tour included 6 members’ gardens and concluded with a socially distanced picnic lunch at the historic Weaver House at Pine Bend Park.

Club member Judy Lindemulder was honored at the July club meeting for her many contributions and achievements. The club presented her with the MGC Life Membership Achievement Award. Congratulations Judy, and thank you!

In response to the COVI-19 virus, our members’ and school participants health and safety is our first concern and most important consideration.
ALL Michigan Garden Club Schools and District meetings scheduled for April and May 2020 have been cancelled. Therefore, we will cancel Course III of the Landscape Design School scheduled for April 20 & 21, 2020 in Grand Haven, MI. Course III will be postponed to the fall dates of October 5 & 6, 2020. Course IV will be scheduled in the Spring of 2021, with dates to be determined.
You have the option to have your registration fee refunded or you may simply carry it over to the Fall session. That decision will be yours. Please let Lynn Smith, the Landscape School registrar, know your decision regarding your registration. Lynn Smith’s contact information is: lgsmith223@gmail.com.

The schedule for the Tri-Cities Garden Club 2018 standard flower show “Vintage Treasures” is now complete. Download your copy here!
“Vintage Treasures” the 61st annual standard flower show will be held July 12, 13, and 14, 2018 at the Spring Lake District Library. Featuring design sections including duo-designs, tricolor, petites, and artistic crafts this promises to be another exciting show!
Club members enjoyed gathering at historic Weaver House in Pine Bend County Park for the annual Members’ Tea luncheon. This year’s honorees were all of the committe chairpersons who help to keep the club vibrant and active. Special recognition was given to Pat Bazany for her leadership in maintaining the community herb garden in Grand Haven for the last ten years. Prizes were given for the best hats, and winners were Roger Mckay for best contemporary hat, Ginny Ryan for most flamboyant hat and Jackie Wilson for best vintage hat. It was a beautiful day, the luncheon was delicious, and a lovely time was had by all. See the photo gallery for more pictures of the fun!

The MSU Extension Grand Ideas Garden is having a fundraiser which will be held on Oct. 21st at the MSU Extension Office in Grand Rapids. This event includes an educational program and bulb sale.
